Giving, Growing and Connecting
Volunteering has played a crucial role in defining my personal growth, allowing me to contribute to various communities while developing valuable life skills. To me, volunteering is more than giving my time or offering help. It is an opportunity to step outside my own experiences—to listen to people whose lives may be very different from mine, understand what they need, and leave with a little more empathy than I came with.
Tramora
As I started a small business selling cajeput essential oil and foot soak salt, I, along with my teammates in TRAMORA, went to Bách Niên Thiên Đức, an aging center in Ha Noi, not only to hear amazing stories and learn wise advice from their long lives, but also to build kindness and empathy.
KINDNESS IN ACTION
Đà Nẵng Hospital for Women and Children
Later on, I joined Hiếu Hạnh Chùa Quán Thế Âm – Ngũ Hành Sơn Đà Nẵng, a charity group based in Da Nang. We went through a few trips together to distribute meals to patients and their families at Da Nang Hospital for Children and Women, and I learned that kindness does not always have to be grand. Sometimes, a warm meal and a few moments of genuine care can make a difficult day a little lighter.

I also joined a back-to-school trip to support children in the mountainous area of Dak Mar, Quang Ngai. Delivering school supplies and spending time with the children reminded me that small contributions can offer meaningful encouragement. Beyond simply giving, I was grateful to play a small part in helping them begin a new school year with excitement and hope.
Canary
Joining Canary Club showed me that meaningful charity often begins with many small efforts coming together. Through fundraising campaigns and volunteer activities, I learned to coordinate with new teammates, keep track of resources, and become more responsible with both people and money. Beyond the work itself, I was grateful for the friendships I built along the way and for the chance to see how a team can turn a few million đồng and some efforts into tangible help for children and families in need.
